Franchises come in all shapes and sizes, and offer all kinds of business opportunities. You can choose from hundreds of service orientated franchise businesses, which cover just about every niche market you could think of, plus there are new ones presenting themselves every day.

Selecting the right one is critical to the overall success of the franchisee. Pick one which is struggling, or has grown too fast to sustain itself, and problems follow. On the other hand, choose one that is up-and-coming, that has proven methods and plans established, and you can easily become a success.

This step, far more than any others, is the sole responsibility of the potential franchisee to get right. Franchise consultants can help track down information on some of these topics, but the choice of which franchise to choose is ultimately the choice of the franchisee. No matter what franchise industry is under consideration though, they can be evaluated using the answers to these questions…

1) What is the vision of the company?

2) What is the age of the company?

3) For what time did it operate for as an independent business before offering itself as a franchise business?

4) How is the reputation of the brand perceived?

5) What types of franchises are they offering?

6) How many franchisees are there in the system?

7) Of the existing franchises, how many own more than one unit?

8) How many franchisees have left the system?

9) What is the cost of the franchise and what does it include?

10) Is there a royalty fee? If so, how much is it?

11) How many years is the franchise arrangement for?

12) Who is in charge of the franchise business? What are their qualifications?

13) What level of training is on offer? Is on-going support provided?

14) Which regions are they operating in? Does it provide protected territory?

15) Where are raw materials sourced? Can franchisees choose their own suppliers?

16) Is financial assistance offered by the franchisor?

17) Is real estate support provided by the franchisor?

18) How many employees are needed?

19) Is assistance offered in the recruitment of employees?

20) How proven is the marketing plan?

You will be able to find the answers to these questions from a range of sources. Firstly, browse through the website of the company in question, and perform Google searches to find out what other people have written about them. Then, talk with a professional franchise broker or consultant and contact a few people who are currently operating franchises of the company that you are evaluating. Finally, speak with a representative of the franchise company.

Remember that information given to you by anyone acting in a professional capacity (i.e. a franchise broker / consultant or a franchise company representative) should be 100% acurate, else that person is acting illegally. Get as much information as you can in writing, and get the person giving it to you to sign and date it; that way you are fully protecting yourself and should able to sue anyone should they give you false or misleading information which you later act on.

It’s easy to locate an office cleaning services but finding one that can do the work quickly and effectively requires some researching. So what do you look for and what questions should be answered in order to pick the best cleaning services among the many out there? Here are a few pointers that can help you answer these questions provided for the companies that offer cleaning services.

•Do they understand what cleaning services you need? Before reaching for any service agreement, a representative from the office cleaning service should come to your company and listen to your specific needs. Their representative should be able to convert your needs into specific instructions for the cleaners in order to do their jobs right.

•Are they flexible in their services? Since office environments are always changing, for instance departments will move to different locations inside the building. This shift in furniture and equipments makes changes in cleaning routine and so the service provider should be flexible enough to modify a service agreement.

•Are you allowed to give feedbacks regarding their services? Views and responses should be more than just a survey that you fill out and afterwards never see the results of the changes you request. They should provide time for all the feedbacks from their clients and will try to alter any service that needs to be revised.

•Are there scheduled spot checks throughout the contract period? The cleaning service representative should conduct a planned visit at designated intervals early into the contract. In this way, any initial problems can be resolved as soon as possible. Then, random spot checks should be made in order to ensure that the cleaners are doing the job properly.

•Is the cleaning service reliable? One of the factors affecting the figure of your business is the cleanliness of your location. Imagine if you have a new client visiting your office on the day after your cleaning service provider failed to clean the areas properly the night before. You only get a chance to make an initial impression, yet with this, you might lose that client.

•Are the communication channels available and responsive? You should be able to contact the cleaning company for any problem, anytime. They should also be able to handle support calls that assure you actions will be taken.

•Do their cleaners practice environmental responsibility? If a cleaning service does not follow the principles of recycling and reuse then it could reflect poorly on your company as well. The cleaning company should also use cleaning materials that are not toxic to the environment but are still effective.

•Do they conduct trainings to their personnel in all aspects of office cleaning? It is imperative that they receive training in proper ways of cleaning, for instance carpets, windows, and ceilings so as not to damage them.

•What kind of reviews does the company receive? It’s best if you can contact another company that used the cleaning services you are considering. Don’t just rely on the reviews posted on the cleaning services’ website as these are usually biased because obviously they wouldn’t post negative reviews.

Always keep in mind that no business is completely perfect, which can please everyone and there is always more to any story. What you can do is have these guidelines to assist you in choosing the perfect cleaning service for your office.

Loren Yadeski, author of this article is also interested in cleaning and recommends you to please check out cleaning service if you liked reading this information.

Adsense Business

Dec-28-2009 By GuidoNussbaum

Of all the different ways to make cash on the internet, the Google Adsense program provides amateurs with more of an opportunity than any other. After all , it can be applied to just about any internet site and it needs to have a little more information than the simple way to add a little bit of JavaScript to your website page to place the adverts.

even though there’s not really much more to it aside from that, there are a number of different things that you can do to build an Adsense business that will actually do well. As a matter of fac|n important poin|n interesting poin}t, in a number of cases you can build your business without getting any more traffic at all and you can do so considerably. If you have an interest in beginning a business with the Google Adsense program, these are some things to remember and some ways to earn more money.

Ad mixing

One of the simplest mistakes to make whenever you first start out with the Google Adsense program is to use their default ad colours. Though these may help to brand the Google program, they don’t do much for helping you to get clicks. Here are a couple of things that you can do in order to have the adverts blend into your website page which will dramatically increase the quantity of clicks that you receive.

first off, you need to be certain that the background color of the ad matches the background color of your internet site. Without doing this, the ad is going to stick out like a sore thumb and though you may think that this draws attention to it, it does not draw the right kind of attention. Folks have something that is sometimes known as Banner blindness and this essentially suggests that they do not recognize advertising in the conventional sense. That’s why you would like the background of the ad to blend in with your webpage.

shedding the border is also significant if you would like the ad the blend properly. I typically have the border color match the background color so that the whole ad is continuing. The one thing that they’re going to see are either the links or the link and the text that is associated with the ad. This makes it seem like it is a part of your website and you will receive much more clicks as a result.

Using the Right Ad Unit

Another problem that many people have whenever they first start with an Adsense business is that they use the standard size ad, which is essentially a banner or a vertical skyscraper. These can work in some examples, but only if they are going to put the ad right in the face of the people who are viewing it.

The two ad units that work the best for me are either the bigger rectangle that is centered above all of the content on a webpage for the mixed banner advertisement which is also at the apex of the page. I often will switch from one to the other occasionally, just to keep my common visitors clicking.

Making Your adverts Viewable

if you’re putting the adverts at the base of your web page or if they’re anywhere other than the head of the web page, you are missing out on a large amount of cash. The reason this is the case it is actually because only a few folks who ever visit your webpage are going to scroll down in any way. As a matter of fact, according to statistics, over 85% of everyone that comes to your internet site is going to leave before they look at anything that involves scrolling down on your website page.

In website owner terms, this is usually referred to as having something above the fold. If you are an adverts aren’t above the fold and viewable whenever someone first lands on your webpage, you are only going to get a small share of the folks that are on your website page to even see them. It can be tricky to get folk to click on an ad so if you’re hiding them, you cannot expect to make much cash as a consequence.

the sole reason that I ever place ads at the bottom of my page is if it’s a sales page and the advertisements fall below the button that they push to buy the product. If they reach the bottom of my page and have not yet bought the product, quite likely they’re not ever going to purchase it. By having them click on an advertisement, at least I am making a little of money off them before they are long gone.

Work From Home With Your Computer

Dec-28-2009 By KenBishop

I am not one bit surprised that so many people want to work from home with their computer. I mean why not? The main tool you need you probably already own, a computer with an internet connection.

Your hours are flexible allowing you to work when you want. This gives you the feeling of freedom. Just imagine being able to stay up as late as you want knowing you can sleep in as long as you like.

This is the lifestyle you can live when you work from home with your computer. What a sense of freedom this can leave you with compared to having a certain time to get up and fight your way through traffic to get to work. Then, having to stay at work all day and fight through traffic to get back home again. Get up the next morning and do it all over again. Day after day having to put up with the same ritual.

Many people wonder is it really possible or just a myth being able to work from home with your computer. I hope I can brighten your day when I tell you many people are already doing it.

How do they do it, you may ask? There are so many different ways, that I myself probably haven’t heard of all them. The thing is, you have to do the research yourself and find an idea you would be interested in.

I will mention several methods that will give you who are totally new to having an internet business an idea about what I am talking about. These are not things I just thought up in my head as I am writing this. There are people out there making a fortune using these methods.

People start an internet business with such things as:

•Selling items on ebay

•enlisting people in training or coaching programs (teaching others what they know) Eg. Marketing, SEO, knitting. I mentioned knitting just to let you know it doesn’t have to be about business. Your imagination is your limit.

•MLM (multi level marketing programs)

•Creating an ebook (not as hard as you may think)

•Creating other types of products (again not as hard as you might think)

Let me give you an example of a work from home with your computer scenario. First thing you have to do is wake up. The time you get up depends totally upon you. You then may wish to read the newspaper, have some breakfast, jog, exercise or whatever else you may want to do.

A few holes of golf is certainly not out of the question. What I am trying to get through to you is, you work whatever hours you work the best. It can even be 9, 10 or 11 o’clock in the night. I’ve seen myself up at 4 in the morning, not because I had to, because thats when I enjoyed doing what I had to do.

I myself work best when everyone has gone to sleep. I just seem to think better at that time. Sometimes I feel like writting an article early in the morning. It’s totally up to me and I do not have to fight through traffic to do it.

I do have a plan or a system that I stick to, which keeps my work from home business on track. Lets face it, the more you work the more you get out of it. Its a real nice feeling when the money starts rolling in and keeps rolling in a steady flow.

Your probably asking yourself, how do I get started with a work from home with your computer job. As I stated earlier you have to come up with an idea that you want to get started with. Then you need to execute that idea. You need a plan or a system that is going to make it easy for you.

Lets say, out of the ideas I mentioned earlier, you wanted to start an affiliate marketing business. A very good choice I may add. Probably because that is my personal favorite. It does not have to be yours.

First thing you have to pick a market your interested in. Then you need to pick a product that is a winner. Next you have to market that product. You may have to write a bunch of articles, Oh my god, I can’t write an article you frown! Not that hard when you have an idea on how to go about it. Its all a learning curve you need to go through. Believe me when I say its well worth it.

Most people start a work from home with your computer type of business because of the freedom that comes with it. Also because of the low start up cost. The financial benefits can well exceed most paying jobs that are out there. It does take time and commitment at first but the benefits make it all worth it. It does get much easier as you go through the learning curve and learn to automate things.

You must be devoted and have the patience to become successful. Many people fall short there and never know what it’s like to become successful.

Affiliate marketing is an internet marketing business you can work from home with your computer. You do not need a product to sell, it’s provided for you. For more information check out Ken Bishop’s Blog at http://InternetBusiness4u.ca

Do you need more clients — in a hurry? Usually, the party line is to preach patience and long-term thinking, but what if the bills are due now? Read on for seven powerful strategies that can fill your bank account in a hurry:

1. Run a special

Create a special package or two out of your normal offerings. Include several popular items or services and throw in a very tempting bonus. Then offer it for an irresistible price and send the offer to your current customers and especially to any and all of your prospects. Also advertise it anywhere you can think of.

2. Check in with your ex-clients

Whether they left you or whether you just drifted apart — check in with them and ask them how things have been going. They may be ready to come back! They may be ready to take you up on your “special”! And even if not, they might know others whom they could refer to you.

3. Look at past successes and replicate them

Take a trip down memory lane and jot down how you actually got all of your past clients. You may come across people you could contact and resources you could use again. Then contact those people and use those resources and techniques that have worked before.

4. Offer special bribes for referrals

Referral programs are becoming common even offline. Offer a special reward to anyone who brings you a new customer… or three. Run a contest with a really good price (a weekend at a B&B for example, or a gift certificate for a dinner at a really nice restaurant. Maybe an iPhone or an iPod. Just make sure there’s a minimum number of referrals the winner must have brought in, especially if the price is costly.

5. Go to where your customers are

Where are your ideal customers hanging out? What do they do? Go and join them . And if they have special events or networking, make sure you’re there. If you’re not sure - ask your current customers.

6 . Get the word out

Use social media and press releases to get the word out quickly. Create a tempting “Act now” offer and write articles and press releases to promote it. Use Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn or use http://www.ping.fm to manage them all. Consider placing notices in strategic places, or even placing ads (keep in mind the readers must be narrowly focused to your target prospect) depending on what is appropriate for your business.

7. Make sure you have a client magnet blog

A WordPress blog can be the ultimate tool for client attraction. Be sure to post your offers there, along with highly useful information for your target audience . If you have optimized your blog for your keywords and use articles, social media, and maybe other tools to drive traffic to it, you could get results fast.

And finally, make sure to leverage your contacts and include your referral partners as a foundation to getting the word out and driving more prospects your way.

So let’s recap: there are many ways to get more clients fast. Pick one and take action, and then watch how quickly you’ll get new clients!

I know, I know, all kinds of articles and web pages are saying that you can find easy work at home jobs. Well, I say don’t count on it! I have been searching for that pie in the sky easy job for about four years now and still have not latched on to it. I just do not believe that such an animal exists. It is sort of like looking for the Abominable Snowman or Loch-Ness monster and they just do not exist.

Okay then, so I guess I am just stuck working for the man all my life and never getting my own work at home business going, is that what you are saying? No way! There are plenty of things you can do to make money form the comfort of your home it is just that they are not easy work at home jobs. Lets face the facts any business that is going to make any money, brick and mortar or Internet based, is going to take work. That is just the way it is.

There are a lot of people making money form home working on their computer and in fact I am sitting here at home typing this article because I make money but it is not one of those easy work at home jobs. I would not be doing this if I did not. However, it is not a two hour work day and I rake in thousands of dollars. It takes hard work and you really do need to learn the ins and outs of the Internet Marketing world. Working productively online is no easy work at home job.

I make most of my money as an affiliate marketer warming up potential buyers for larger companies like Amazon, Best Buy and many others. My job is to simply (not easily though) send targeted traffic to their sales pages. No overhead, shipping or customer service for me that is at their end of the business. All I do is collect the commission from the sale that is eventually made by them. It is basically word of mouth advertising that you do on the computer and you get paid for it.

I remember the last time I was out in San Diego, California riding through town we saw all these guys and gals outside restaurants spinning fancy signs for deals on the meals it was pretty cool to see. Well they no doubt got paid by the hour and it looked like hard work. I do just about the same thing only I get paid for each sale or perhaps even for every click. It is also hard work and not one of the easy work at home jobs you may be looking for. It is pretty cool though.

I mentioned earlier that I started my search about four years ago and it took a while before I realized that there is no free money or easy money to be made apart from thievery or fraud and I am not into that at all. I hope you do not want to resort to that either. There are no easy work at home jobs but once you get going and learning how to do some of them they are very manageable and you really can make a lot of money online.

Distraction Stops all Essential Action

Dec-28-2009 By EricaNjie

The primary reason that most online marketers fail is because of a multitude of distractions which are hampering their progress.

Distractions come in many forms. You may find it hard to resist the urge to check your email account, tough not to chat via Yahoo, or very difficult to focus on just one task at a time. Regardless of the challenge that is causing you to lose focus, it must be eliminated at all costs, unless you want to spend a bunch of time at your computer and be extremely unproductive.

One of the hardest distractions to ignore is a cellular phone call.

Perhaps your friends are calling to talk about the latest sporting event, the movie they saw last night, or the reason that they are feeling bad today. There is a time for each activity which takes place daily. I am not condoning rude behavior, but I am stating that our time should be used wisely. A simple schedule can make a world of difference.

Another vital item to steer you in the right online direction is to put your bills on an auto-payment system. Paying your bills on a monthly basis is very easy when you have them automatically deducted from your checking account. Also, this frees up your time to focus on what is going to make you money, rather than having money exit your account.

Internet marketers would also do well to disregard services like Skype until their projects are done. This will also train your callers to realize that your time is valuable, and that you will call them when you are ready. It is amazing how many hours can be wasted by simply speaking on Skype.

The next item that deserves your attention is your Microsoft Word documents. If you desire to be organized, it is a smart business decision to put your files into various folders on your computer. This will eliminate the need to search for things. Searching for items which are lost or misplaced is a tremendous loss of productive time.

Another important step to becoming focused is to have an accountability partner. Accountability partners should be people who are trustworthy, sincere, and timely. You may not always like what they say, but you need to hear it so that your online business can grow. Let your partner know what you will work on each day, and establish a time when you will telephone them once your day is done. There is something about being held accountable which causes us to focus at a high level. Being independent has no place in the life of an internet marketing expert. However, having a separate pair of eyes, ears, and mouth to rely on can go a long way in helping you to change the traits which hinder you and your business.

In closing, we all face a number of distractions when we restart our computers in the morning. The difference between those who thrive online and those who survive is focus.

How to Market to the Apathetic Among Us

Dec-28-2009 By ScottLindsay

Some people believe that America has entered a state of apathy. They may be right.

We live in a world that allows a GPS device on your dash to lead you to your destination. We have cell phones that allow you to stay in contact with others virtually anywhere you go. Mobile devices keep you in touch with the World Wide Web. You can read ebooks on the subway. You can order food online. Isn’t all this cause for celebration?

One thing is sure – this dynamic has changed the way online marketing should take place. We live in such an on demand world that some practices used even a few years ago are less effective as people view the marketing effort as inconvenient to their personal schedule.

Take email marketing for example. People have become so jaded by spam and so enamored by personal decision-making they have almost zero tolerance for messages they didn’t authorize. If you send email marketing without the permission of the recipient you are using a failed marketing system.

As the culture shifts to believing they can have it all – on demand – the shift in marketing strategies has to mirror that trend. What strategies do you currently have in place that fits with this idea?

Consider the following. There are several sites that provide television and movies online at no cost. They can be downloaded by users and viewed anytime they want. To the consumer this is brilliant, but in order to pay for the content viewers must subject themselves to advertising.

A television spot will show between segments and they must be allowed to run all the way through before the show will return. If the viewer is motivated to watch the content they will need to accept the condition of the occasional commercial.

In your online marketing efforts you will need to remember that apathetic customers will search in an on-demand way for information they are interested in at any given moment. If you’ve approached Search Engine Optimization (SEO) correctly then you will realize there is a correlation between content and search rankings. If their search allows them to find your page you will need to provide enough information to keep them from immediately using the back button on their browser. The motivation to stay will likely be in what you provide.

It could be we have lost a sense of awe in the pursuit of fulfilling personal life demands, but you can minimize the apathy in potential customers by simply altering how you develop your website and what information you add.

Apathy is just one of many atmospheres that can alter the way you do business. Apathetic people will still buy products and services. They might even be more prone to impulse buys if they feel it will provide any sense of excitement or fun.

Adapt your online marketing strategies to meet this customer and you may ultimately find that you can also reach out to others who may genuinely appreciate (instead of expect) the information you provide. When you look at it from that point of view this may be a more universal and appreciated form of marketing than you might have expected.

Did you know that when you yawn you are attempting to wake yourself up? Most people equate yawns with sleepiness. This might be true, but not as a sign you should go to sleep, but that your body wants to wake up from sleepiness.

How does a yawn wake you up? Yawns supply a vast increase in oxygen supply making us more alert. The domino effect of yawning often spills over into others who will yawn when they see others doing the same. This may signal the need for a greater alertness of those around you at any given time. Interestingly this phenomenon is not limited to humans, but to other animals and birds.

When it comes to Internet marketing there may be a need for a symbolic yawn from time to time. There can be a drowsiness based on the sameness of your site that encourages a renewed wakefulness.

Too often we tend to view our websites as good enough. We move forward with no clear vision for infusing new life into our sites. We are lulled to sleep when we really need a colossal wake up call.

Here are some questions you might ask yourself to see if it might induce a refreshing ‘yawn’ into your online business.

1. Does the site have a clear purpose or mission statement? If not, is there a way to make it more clear and concise?

2. Does the site have takeaway value? If not, what can I do to allow my potential customers more value just for visiting my site?

3. Is the site easy to use? If not, what can I do today to make things easier?

4. Is the site design cluttered? If so, what can I do to streamline the look?

5. Does my content provide bullet points? If not, what can I do to help readers who skim to find the information they need?

6. Does my product line include descriptions? If not, what can I do to begin connecting the dots for consumers?

7. Have I developed ways to encourage list building? If not, what can I do to encourage visitors to pass along their email address for marketing purposes?

8. Is my site maximized for Search Engine Optimization (SEO)? If not, what can I do today to identify keywords or phrases and then begin making positive changes to site content?

Finding new and innovative ways to facilitate an online business ‘yawn’ can be important to awakening an otherwise tired firm. It can become easy to be lured into a sense of drowsiness by a business that seems to operate well enough, but isn’t moving forward very well on its own.

If this describes your business then pick one of the questions listed above and seek to answer it honestly and with an eye toward waking up your business in response to the question. Do the same tomorrow – and the next day – then keep going.

Your responses will say a lot about your interest in growing your business. There is nothing quite like having renewed purpose and passion for an existing company. If you are a new business you can use the above questions to help you pinpoint better ways to launch your business – better ways to stay alert in a climate of sleepy business.

For the sake of your company - just yawn.

Business Etiquette Tips

Dec-28-2009 By SimonJohnnson

The success or failure of your business does not depend solely on your hard work and commitment. When you are trying to seal a big deal with an established player in your industry, it’s often the nuances of business etiquette that can make or break your day. Business etiquette refers to a set of do’s and don’ts when you are in a professional setting. In case you want to know about some business etiquette tips which can really help you earn the respect of fellow professionals, read on.

Tip#1: Attire

Business etiquette is not just about acceptable behavior but also what you wear. Always dress in good taste and make sure your clothes are not wrinkled. Other than that you can wear suits, tuxedos (if it’s a formal dinner) or business casual clothes according to what the occasion demands. Some formal events may require you to follow dress codes and so try not to deviate from those requirements.

Tip#2: Punctuality

In business, time is money. So make sure that you arrive at all appointments on time. Arriving a minute early is okay but being a minute late is not. Punctuality makes your associates understand your commitment to what you are doing. If you are hosting a meeting, make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes early and check on the arrangements.

Tip# 3: The Handshake

One question that might be bothering you is when to shake hands. The simple answer to that would be to shake hands when you introduce yourself and then again when your meeting is over or you are leaving the premises. Greet everyone with a firm handshake coupled with a warm smile and direct eye contact.

A limp handshake is a strict no-no. Also, when a group of guests are approaching you, wait for them to extend the hand. In case shaking hands is not possible, acknowledge people with a nod and a smile.

Tip # 4 Introducing People

When you are introducing people to each other, you may find yourself in a bit of a fix about what the order of introduction should be. In that case you should know that individuals who are lower down the organizational hierarchy should be introduced to those above them.

Tip # 5 Speaking

When you are delivering a formal lecture, it is important to stand. Whether it’s a stage or your board room, standing will help you draw the attention of the listeners and help them concentrate on what you are saying. Also remember to maintain eye contact, particularly if you are speaking to a small group of people. Do not use foul language or racial/ sexist jokes when you are speaking.

Tip # 6 Dining

When you are at a business party, never have more than two drinks. Getting tipsy can be really harmful for your image. You should also observe basic table manners such as keeping glass ware to the right and bread plates to the left. If you are the host, be sure to raise the first toast of the evening.

Follow these business etiquette tips and earn the respect of one and all.

Disappointed that your incredible content (a.k.a. linkbait) isn’t raking in the high-value links? The challenge could be your target is too general and vertical too competitive. It might be time to focus on specific long tail topics to obtain high-quality links.

Unless you happen to win the linkbait lottery, you may never get the thousands of links we all dream of getting from one fantastic piece. But then how would you follow that up anyway? These days you’re better off just continuously shooting at gathering a following that can build. It will take longer but the results will be more long term and sustainable.

If you target easier less competitive areas you’ll pick up some high-quality links that will continue to grow over time. In the long run there is more consistent value from a few solid links coming from quality sites than having hundreds of low-quality blog links any day. Many of the low-quality blogs will be stagnant in a short time with to few quality backlinks to be of any value anyway.

Leverage Of Well Placed Links

If your content can end up ranking in the top ten search results for the keywords, it will continue to acquire more links over time. Many “high-quality editorial links” are frequently a result of Google search engine placement.

What happens is a student, or instructor creates a page on a topic. They go to Google to look for information that supports that topic. Using what the Search Engine places in the first page of the search results ends up being linked to as a reference and it gains more authority. These kinds of links can’t be predicted, but if you’re putting out information that can rank well in search results it can happen.

As great as it would be to have your content rank on the first page of search engine results for your most cherished keyword phrase, unless you already have a well aged established authority site (you know who you are) it’s going to be pretty tough. Like hitting the number one best sellers list with your first novel.

You stand a much better chance going after less competitive subjects that can get you well placed in Search Engine Results. Think, writing content for your local newspaper rather than starting out as a syndicated columnist.

If you write four times a month and each of those rank on page one of search results, eventually the links will add up. Plus a small number of links from lots of different directions end up carrying a lot more weight and being more sustainable. Just make sure that your work is good enough to link to.

For Instance

Say you have a website that is promoting sports opinion online. Pretty stiff competition with a lot of recognized authority sites already in play. What if you were to focus on college volleyball rather than SEC football? your chances of first page Search Engine Placement just got better. If you were to focus on the recruiting of prospects for college volleyball or advice for parents of college volleyball players, your chances get even better.

Including the word “parents” gives it more credibility and increases the likelihood of acquiring links. Otherwise, it might be hard to get a university or parenting site to link to a sports opinion site.

This type of focused topic will easily rank on the page of Search Engine results and will most likely acquire links from high-value sites. Those few links will help keep your work ranking in top search results and the article will gain even more links over time. Every time a student assistant, or professor, that is creating a report on “college volleyball” or even “college sports recruiting” and your work has a another link opportunity.

How to Find Affordable PPC Consultant?

Dec-28-2009 By RandyMark

Managing PPC campaigns can be quite heavy and time consuming. Most PPC campaigns start with a plan and to help you device that plan which can help you use proven methods to drive traffic to your home page, you would need a good and affordable PPC consultant. He or she will not only help you device a strategy that will drive traffic to your home page, but also tell you how to keep them there once they log on. Of course you do need a good product or service that the people would want to spend their money on, but if they can’t find you online due to bad campaign, you cannot even get started with your online business.

But then where do you get started on your search for a PPC consultant. When you search online, you get such a wide and varied choice that it becomes so very difficult to decide on who is the best and most cost effective of them all for the job on hand. How can you shortlist from this wide choice? Remember that the marketing of you web site can be a long and ongoing process and you would need a good consultant to help you with this.

Here are some tips that can help you arrive at the right choice.

• Do they have the right qualification?

A well qualified PPC consultant should have the “AdWords Qualified Individual” logo displayed on their website and that logo should be linked to a webpage hosted by AdWords certifying which would verify that the company is indeed a qualified AdWords Professional.

• Are they ready to test drive your campaign for free?

Any Company that has the “AdWord Qualified Individual” logo displayed on their websites get free advertising credits that they can use to run test on new clients account. What this really means is that they can start advertising for you and start getting results even before you have paid them a penny. This would give you an idea as to how you campaign is actually performing. If they do not offer you that, they are most probably ripping you off.

• Are they easy to join, friendly and willing to share?

If you do not own a very large company which may require a full time consultant, your aim in hiring a consultant should be for the short term. If the consultant is not willing to share everything that he does to make your campaign run successfully, chances are that he is dragging you towards a situation in the future that you will have to run to him for even small things and pay him again and again. Your goal should be to hire a consultant so that the campaign runs successfully on auto-pilot in the future.

• How clear, interesting and persuasive is the PPC Consultant’s website:

When looking up online for a PPC consultant, ask yourself this question in your mind. If his website ad compels you to click on his contacts link then he is the right guy for you. If not then what makes you think that he can help you design a PPC campaign that would compel others to click on your campaign link.
