If you ask random people around whether they’d like to own a business or not, it’s a miracle if you’d get a NO as an answer. There’s too much good things they say about owning a business that everybody wants to own one to sport. Among the many good things they say about being a business proprietor are the following:

1. You’ll have the freedom you’re looking for in terms of reining your time

2. You can earn all the income you can just dream of earning.

3. You are your own boss so that you can do anything you want in your business

4. Becoming rich is only a matter of moment away if you own a business

5. You can kick off your shoes and enjoy a break anytime you want, no worries.

If you just look into these seemingly endless positive things of owning a business, the decision to make couldn’t be any clearer. You’d think you’re a fool if you don’t start something up right away. But are you really?

Running a business is not a walk in the park. If you plan to start one, it’s always a good idea to get your facts straight.

Although, if you play your cards right, the facts enumerated above is attainable. But, remember the working phrase, “if you play your cards right.” The number one lure in owning a business, which is freedom and flexibility in terms of time, is relative. Don’t think that you can just kick off and see the money poured in. In fact, be ready to spend extra time in the office fixing problems, planning the next move, etc. Just like a newborn infant, a start-up business needs nurturing and extra time and attention in the beginning. Only when you get some business operations straight and delegated work to the right people can you get the much coveted freedom in terms of time.

Earning more than what you can make as an employee is a realistic claim also. But, you have to be willing to work for your money. You have to make your business financially grounded. Don’t be afraid even if the money is not there in the beginning. Give your business enough time to establish, develop, make known, and garner patrons. All these entail work on your part as the owner. If your business gained enough ground and reputation in the market, expect the returns to be fulfilling. What you make depends on how much dedication and constant monitoring you put into your business. Once you get it right, your salary as an employee couldn’t even come close to what you can make in your business.

It’s your own business, no one will tell you what to do. You can finally kick off your shoes and have a break whenever you desired. On the contrary, you have to be prepared to give up some of the freedom you’re currently enjoying as an employee. As the boss, you have no boss to consult or call if something went wrong. You have to tap your wits to find solutions to your own business problems – no one will tell you what to do. Even though you have no boss to answer to, but you’re now responsible to the welfare of your employees and your business. Whatever may happen, you have yourself to blame.

However, the truth remains: owning a business is better than being an employee your whole life. It may be challenging at the beginning, but once you have your system refined and your machineries running, you can very well make all the things enumerated at the beginning of this article a reality. As a parting thought, if you want to start a business of any kind, learn what you are up against and never stop learning even though your business is already doing well.

The whole making money online idea has gotten so big (plenty of room for you) that it has spawned a new concept, a whole new type of lifestyle.

The Internet Marketing lifestyle is being sold in a thousand different forms and it really only boils down to two things coming together. A buyer and a seller. More on that later.

Today, a lot of people are looking at making money online. Seems reasonable to me. Have you seen the news lately? This was written in the Spring of 2009.

The Internet Marketing lifestyle idea is that you get your web sites strung together…set it on autopilot…and check your earnings in the morning! Then you hop into your brand new, paid for car, and drive over to your personal trainer for a good workout.

Later you check your inflow of capital again. This has become habitual. Perhaps you check it too much. But, after all, you are an Internet Marketer, and you love the rush of money!

Later, at the coffee shop, you see the car salesmen and real estate people in their suits. They are on their cell phones. They look at their watches.

They’re missing customers while indulging in fancy coffees and bantering with the commercial crowd. But not you.

You are the regular looking person with a laptop. You love wi-fi at public places.

No one has any idea what you are up to and if you tried to explain it to them, they wouldn’t understand. But they know what “making money” is.

You set up some money making websites and you spend your time tuning them up to earn more or starting a new one to provide a whole new income stream.

You see them, hard working pros in real estate and insurance. You haven’t got the heart to tell them that you have a way to make money online while drinking coffee…or sleeping for that matter!

Ever since your first sale you have been duplicating it, over and over. Taking advantage of the fact that what worked once, will work again, you improve and expand on what worked before.

If you are anything like me you are in LOVE with the idea of making decent money by knowing how to sell things online.

The question is…how bad do you want it?

I ask you that because there are some things you have to learn to make it in Internet Marketing, and I have never sugar coated that fact to get someone to buy something.

If you want to sit around watching money roll into your accounts, you are going to have to work for it. It starts with willingness. You have to be able to be willing to work at Internet Marketing.

Then it will come. A little at first…and then a little more. You’ll keep improving what is working for you. You won’t do it EXACTLY like others do. You are a human being after all and you have a personality. It’s a good thing.

Yes, the Internet Marketing, make money online lifestyle has a LOT of appeal, and for good reason.

But, to succeed at it takes a plan. A series of “skill steps” being learned. Once that is out of the way you are ready for implementing the actual sales process.

When I was first looking at Internet Marketing I was VERY confused.

As I became more conversant with the language and procedures, my confusion melted away and allowed me to concentrate on getting the job done.

For me, the “job” is “bringing lots of people to a website they were looking for and letting them buy something they might be interested in!”

Yes, you can make money online with Internet Marketing skills! All you have to do is learn the skills!

After that, you can be down at the coffee shop with your laptop, checking your email and money accounts and looking over what is working for you and what is not.

So, if the idea of a good income appeals to you, if you like the sound of making money online, if you are willing to work to get it, Internet Marketing has MANY benefits.

The main benefits are…you’ll have work, it will pay well, it has low costs and high possible earnings. Did I mention that you can do it at your kitchen table in your pajamas? Yes, just like that and good money too!

If you are wanting to get started the right way in Internet Marketing let me tell you why you should listen to this.

I spent over a year and ten thousand dollars learning as much as I could as fast as I could and only then I discovered that I could have done it a LOT better, a LOT faster, and a LOT cheaper. That’s the way I can show you!

You can start without spending very much AND getting to actual earnings a LOT faster.

That would be just the way I’d do it…I can see it clearly, now that I can look back on it.

Do you need to do something to earn money, but don’t know what…and how? Visit my blog at Making An Internet Marketer and sign up for the email course, IT”S FREE. You’ll find out a LOT and Quick! Here’s to your success, Riley West

Tips to Help You Make Money With Online Surveys

May-30-2009 By MarlaFergusones

Due to widespread global recession many companies are involved in cost cutting and staff reduction. This has paved the way for self-employment where people find various means to work from home conveniently. Many people take up online jobs and get well paid. The only investment required is a computer with Internet connection.

People get paid to take online surveys. This is also a type of home business. There are many online survey companies where people can register. After the registration process they will be introduced to a product manufacturing company. As soon as they opt for the products they will get the products home delivered at their convenience.

They have to use these products and provide their feedback about the products to the online survey company. These paid online survey companies gather all the data from the feedback provided by the people and conduct market research based on this. This way the product manufacturing company can improve the quality of the products. Moreover people will get paid for their valuable feedback.

Getting paid to take online surveys depends on the number of companies signed up by the people and the number of surveys they participate. If the survey takes a long time then naturally people get paid more. Short surveys do not pay well. This signing up with a paid online survey practically costs nothing. It is absolutely free! But there may be fraudulent people who act as middlemen in this business and may cheat the customers. The customers have to be aware of this.

Be selective about the companies you work for:

But people have to be extremely careful and act wisely before getting paid to take online surveys. There may be certain sites that may misguide the people and gather all their personal information and pass it to other companies who can misuse this information for their advantage. Instead this can lead to junk mail in the inbox. There are some companies that take commission from the people’s salary. Accordingly the pay is cut than what is promised.

On the contrary getting paid to take online surveys can be very encouraging of the pay is very high. These companies put forth their terms and conditions. These companies stick to these terms at the time of payment. These are genuine and recognized companies who guide the manufacturing companies in improving their products from time to time.

The questionnaires put forth by these survey companies are clear and simple without any ambiguity. These companies guarantee full money back, whether it is short or long period. They have valid address and proper contact number where people can get genuine information.

Even the personal information of the people is kept confidential and secure. This is not disclosed to others. The fee at the time of signing up is quite reasonable. It is one time payment, which can be recovered within half an hour of survey. Getting paid for online surveys are becoming quite popular and offer flexible working hours and offer good potential for people.

The most effective ways to advertising a boot camp for personal training are all at your disposal. They are among the easiest and least expensive ways to advertise. However they can generate the most cash flow.

Every company that is serious about advertising and bringing in new business and cash flow advertises via the internet. There are many reasons why but the main one is because the internet is the easiest way to reach people with specials and sales you may be running

The costs involved with starting up a web page for your boot camp are nothing in comparison to the new business it will generate for you. With a web page you’re able to change things daily about your business and also list promotions specials and discounts as well. Things like that catch people’s eye and draw interest. The internet is a useful tool and should be utilized.

You don’t realize this but every time you get a new client you also get a “potential” new client through them. That is as long as they have a good experience with your business. The best advertising is through word of mouth, as long as it’s good feed back. And to make sure your clients only have good things to say about your business, it is imperative that they have good experiences there. A happy customer makes for the opportunity of new business.

As with anything in life people have a tendency to be more likely to do something if there’s something in it for them. So with that said, another good way to advertise and generate new business is with incentive packages for your existing customers. Tell your customers that for every person they refer to your boot camp they’ll get something in return. It could be as simple as a discount or maybe even a product. Whatever it is this is a sure-fire way to generate new business as well as making your existing customer happy.

Nothing beats advertising like with the written word, and by that I mean newspapers. Get in touch with all the local newspapers as well as any local magazines and things of that nature. Going this route is a good idea for several reasons, there is usually little cost involved in it, the turn around is great and you can also use these advertisements as references on your web site. Advertising with your local newspaper allows you a way to reach out and touch the people in your area and can be quite good for business.

Getting back to basics is a good way to go with advertising also. Go out into your local community and network. This helps to build relationships within the business community as well as gets your company’s name out there. People respond to this and will be curious and come and check out your boot camp. With networking it can help generate interest and interest generates business with generates profit for your company.

The different ways to advertise a boot camp for personal training are quite simple and most effective. Your efforts will pay off. Kickbacklife.com is a great resource for marketing a fitness boot camp.

Can Money Really Be Made Online?

May-30-2009 By TamaraDedmon

If you’ve ever asked yourself, “Can Money Really Be Made Online?”, then it’s a good thing you’re reading through this article.

You see, there are so many of us who dream of leaving that desk job and entering the business world on our own. The fears that keep many of us from doing just that is the security we think we have with our 9-5 jobs.

The truth, though, is that there’s no more security at your desk job than there is out in the world on your own. Not to use “scare tactics”, but you could be laid off at any time through a “normal” company – especially with the way the economy has been lately.

One main difference between a desk job and a business online is that with the latter, you’re in control of your future, your income and you hold the key to opening up your true potential.

That being said, you DO have to be wary.

There are thousands of scams out there promising to make you rich overnight and you really need to be wary.

Don’t get me wrong – some things did work in the beginning, but can now be outdated with how quickly the Internet has been moving.

There are countless Internet Marketing and MLM opportunities that made people lots of money in the beginning, but are now extinct.

But worry not – as mentioned, it still is more than possible to make money online – you just need to be smart about what you’re doing.

You want to make sure that the program you end up going with has certain elements included. For example, you should…

1. Make sure you can earn money relatively quickly. Sure, you don’t want to work with a company that promises super-fast riches overnight (that just screams of “scam”!), but you also want to make sure you can be earning cash within a month or so.

2. Ensure there are no special skills required. Many good companies have incredible training programs so that you don’t need to worry about having to know anything special.

3. Always check and see how customer support is. Yes, you’ll be going into business for yourself and earning your own money, but you also want to make sure that if you have any questions, especially in the beginning, you’ll be well taken care of.

There’s a new type of program – called “GPT” - that passes all of these criterion. With the program, it’s very possible to make a comfortable living and even become a successful millionaire by marketing your business online.

One reason for this is that you’re able to reach businesses and clients from around the globe, making your marketing campaign the strongest of any available.

So, the answer to the question, “Can Money Really be Made Online?” is Yes! You can make as much money as you wish and become as successful as you desire. Just make sure you work with the right type of program so that it’s inevitable that you succeed.

Learn more about GPT by getting a 100% free report,

7 Steps To Effective Listings On EBay

May-30-2009 By GavinBarnes

Turn your old junk into a $10k a month online business… Part 3.

(A pauper’s guide to getting started…)

Hello again!

A good way to raise the cash necessary to get started with an online business, either as an affiliate, a webmaster, a forex dealer, or any other investor, is to sell off your unwanted “stuff” on eBay. You want to ensure however, that you get the best price for your goods and that your money is quickly accessible.

Here’s a quick 7 step checklist for getting the best return and keeping all your funds “liquid”.

1. The first step we discussed yesterday. Use PAYPAL as your preferred payment method. And get the Paypal Prepay Visa card. Your money will be all in one place and instantly accessible

2. Make sure your listing ends at the weekend, preferably on a Sunday. People generally have more time for online shopping and auction bidding at the weekends. Also, bidding is most lively in the final 60 minutes of an auction. There will always be more interest in your goods if the auction closes on a Sunday. I would recommend closing an auction around 8.30pm to 9pm. You will just about always get a higher price for your goods if the auction closes on the weekend

If you’re listing your items at 3am on a monday morning, use a scheduled start time. For a nominal fee, currently 6p per listing, you can pre-program your auction to start whenever you choose. It won’t “go live” so to speak until you schedule it to. Take full advantage of the scheduled start-time option, it is easily worth a few extra pounds, despite the fee.

3. Offer Buy It Now as a purchase option. You will be genuinely surprised how often somebody will pay your asking price when adding Buy It Now to your purchase options. A lot of people just don’t want to wait or don’t want to risk losing out in a bidding war. See what the item you’re offering is currently fetching in the open market and pitch your Buy It Now price at around that mark. It does cost around 20p in eBay fees per item but you will recoup that in a guaranteed sale. Always use Buy It Now in addition to having your item for sale at auction.

4. Pictures. The most important thing about the picture you use when selling is that it should be a clear, well lit, blur-free representation of what you are selling. What it does not necessarily have to be is an actual picture of the item you are selling. So long as you describe in your sales copy any significant flaws the item may have, you may as well use any generic screenshot of the item up for sale.

Google search the name of what you are selling, model number and all, and when your search results are returned, in the top left of the screen you will see a link to Google Images. Just click on the link and the chances are very high that you will get an actual photo of what you are selling come up. Save the picture and then upload it to eBay when you are listing your item.

5. Good Sales Copy. Getting the written ad right can often seem a bit daunting. Here’s a useful shortcut: Take a look at other ads currently listing a similar item, find one that appeals to you and copy it. Word for word, so long as it’s all relevant. Don’t waste time wracking your brains for a clever ad. Find one that impresses you and copy it.

6. Postage and Packing. Always package your items well, and post them promptly. Certainly, that is how you would always like to receive items you have bought yourself. Do not be at all afraid to charge a reasonable amount for postage. You may need to purchase packing materials, add special delivery charges and wait 45mins in a queue at the Post Office to get served (see alternative). Charge a reasonable postage fee. That is, reasonable to you, not to the customer.

When it comes to packing materials, if you are sending a lot of items of a similar size, have a look on eBay itself for wholesale supplies of envelopes and other necessary items. You can use your Paypal balance to pay for all the materials you need. You can also use Paypal to pay for and print out postage labels. This is a handy alternative to queueing at the post-office. If you do choose to pay at the Post Office, then you can use your Paypal Visa card and have the cost deducted from your Paypal balance and NOT from your bank-account.

7. What to sell? The following is by no means exhaustive. You can sell just about about anything on eBay:

DVD’s

Music Albums, CD’s, LP’s etc

Clothes, costumes

Jewellery

Spare Car Parts

Cars

Old MP3 players

Mobile phones

Books

Old pictures, photos..

Umbrellas

Kitchenware

Perfumes, Scents

Models, statues

Anything else you can think of…..

To recap….

Use Paypal where possible (and get Paypal prepay card)

End your listings on the weekend (Sunday evenings are best)

Use Buy It Now in addition to offering a regular auction

Get a ready-made picture image of your item if it’s a fair representation

Let someone else design your ad copy

Use your Paypal account to cover all postage and packing costs

Sell anything and everything that is taking up much needed space in your home

Follow all of the above advice and you should easily make £100 -£200 or more. Having got some cash together, using it wisely is key. Consider joining an investment club like Mack Michael’s outstanding Maverick Money Makers. Mack has established an online community, several thousands strong, of affiliate marketeers who have invested very small sums of money (less than $100 at the outset) and seen astonishing returns under his expert tutorship.

Until next time…….

Online marketers all have their own web pages that talk about the products or services they offer. Part of a successful business strategy is directing ample traffic to these websites. And an online marketer may accomplish this goal in many ways.

Purchasing advertisements is a good way, for instance. But this can cost big bucks.

Hiring someone to make top notch videos can be great, too, for video marketing on the web. But this, too, can cost bucks.

Writing articles about the product or service and including back links on the web page in a byline or resource box that directs the visitor to the sales page is a better way. Whether you write the articles yourself or hire a ghost writer, costs are minimal. And on the World Wide Web, there are lots of ezines, article directories and free content websites that are always on the lookout for new content.

Note some of the benefits:

1. You get to create your very own branded message at the bottom of your articles. Don’t neglect to leave out your name, business identity, all your credentials, email address, web page URL and other details in your resource box.

2. You will be treated as a professional in the field of the subject of the articles you write. As you work on, you earn credibility and this helps you survive in a world where the competition can be tough.

3. If you are lucky, the articles you write may be published on the publisher’s home page or other places for extra exposure to search engines and people.

4. Some ezine publishers archive their issues on their web sites. This will show off your articles to a lot more people than you ever imagined, as consumers often read back issues before actually subscribing.

5. Advertising will come virtually free. As a result, you can invest your profits in other more innovative forms of advertising for your business; for example, you can buy advertising space in ezines that don’t yet publish your articles.

6. There is always the possibility of raking in some extra cash. People who have read your articles might want you to do some writing for them. You may be asked to pen your own book or speak at prestigious seminars. Talk about income supplementation!

7. You can let ezine publishers publish your articles in their free reports or ebooks, as people tend to share these resources, so you can get noticed in a big way.

8. Your article can end up being published all over the internet if you submit it to such an ezine that has a free content directory on their web page. Visitors can use your articles for their own needs, and you can be the center of attention of a lot of people in this way.

9. Subscribers will come to trust you. Once they’ve read your article and rated it positively, they will be open to buying your product or service or idea. Automatically, profits can start soaring.

10. Work in sync with other ezines and business people in general. If they publish your writing, agree to publish theirs.

The best thing about ezines is that you brand your articles and yourself in the long run. The resource box is the tool that will allow you do achieve this.

According to the latest Insolvency Service figures for England and Wales published on 1st May 09, nearly 5000 companies went into liquidation in the first quarter of 2009. This figure is over 50% higher than the same quarter of 2008. Clearly the global recession together with the lack of available credit due to the credit crunch, is having a significant downward effect on business activity. Many analysts believe that the recession will continue until the end of 2009 at least and that its effects will continue to be felt well into 2010.

With increasing numbers of businesses finding themselves in serious trouble, more and more company directors and shareholders are faced with a decision whether to invest more of their own funds into the business to allow trading to continue. Even if such funds can be made available, they are best spend helping to develop and improve the current business model – e.g. on advertising, marketing, investment in plant etc. However, all too often the money is likely to be swallowed up paying for legacy debts. With this reality, potential investors are all the more likely to decide that the further investment is not sensible and the better option is to call it a day and allow the business to be wound up.

Clearly in the current economic climate, the focus from Government down is to promote trade and growth rather than business failure. As such, it is important to consider how businesses can be preserved and new investment can be focused on giving a troubled business a new lease of life. The process of business Phoenixing is widely regarded as a practical method of achieving this goal.

Phoenixing (also known as Pre-Packing) is the process by which the sound elements of a failing business can be packaged up and purchased by a new company. The new company then starts to trade in the same business space but without the burden of legacy debts and onerous or unwanted property or leases. As a result, investment funds are targeted specifically at investing in the growth of the business giving it the best chance of success.

The Phoenix process is relatively straight forward. Firstly the assets of a business including any good will are properly valued. A new company is formed and investment funds are deposited within the new business. A Sale and Purchase agreement is then drawn up detailing the assets of the old business and the amount required to purchase them based on the valuation. The old company is then liquidated. Immediately or shortly after the liquidation, the Administrator then effects the sale of the business assets to the new company as per the Sale and Purchase agreement. The proceeds of the sale are distributed to the old company’s creditors.

Much media comment has been focused on the Phoenix process particularly in the first quarter of 2009. One of the concerns raised is that the creditors of the old failed business are left with little hope of full repayment. Unfortunately this is often the reality. However, it is important to recognise that this situation is a direct result of the failure of the old business. Where a business is struggling, if additional investment is not forthcoming then it will fail and face liquidation. In this situation, it is highly likely that creditors will not be paid in full. As such, even if a Phoenix business is started, the position that creditors find themselves in is due to the old company failure and not a direct result of the Phoenix process itself.

In fact, the pre-packed sale of the old business assets to the Phoenix company may often get the best possible return for creditors. This is because the value of the business which may largely be made up of current contracts and good will, is often far higher if it can be sold as a package to a new Phoenix business. If the failed business is liquidated or put into administration, the subsequent value of simply selling any physical assets and distressed stock will almost certainly be lower thus getting a far worse return for creditors.

In addition to improved creditor returns, the Phoenix process offers other significant advantages. In particular, a new trading company is formed which has the ability and capacity to continue to trade with suppliers and customers this preserving future revenue streams for them despite their potential losses suffered from the previous failed business. Often the new Phoenix company will occupy the same premises as the old business thus protecting landlord’s rents. In addition, employment is protected as the new business will want to take many of the old employees whose employment will be protected under TUPE (Transfer of Undertaking and Protection of Employment) rules.

Given the significant advantages, directors and shareholders would do well to consider the Phoenix process while deciding how to resolve the problem of a failing businesses. Clearly, Phoenixing is not right for all situations and independent advice must be sought from a business insolvency advisor. However, in these troubled economic times, all options for preserving business and employment must be investigated and Phoenixing is certainly able to aid this process.

Where do You Get Your Franchise Information?

May-29-2009 By MatthewFranchise

The world is an information highway now with a multitude of different avenues for receiving it. When looking to buy a franchise or interested in franchising your business you have 3 main options of where to gain your franchise information from. Please find below descriptions of franchise websites, franchise magazines and franchise exhibitions!

1. Franchise websites

There are many hundreds, if not thousands of franchise information websites out there. Ranging from franchise directories through to franchise review sites and to authoritative industry leaders. All these sites have their own purpose and value and whatever information you need, believe me you will find it on the web. Sites such and the IFA and the BFA will give you authoritative articles and information on the franchise industry however depending on what information you are looking for these are all bias to ensure only good reviews of franchises are published. There are many independent sites also which offer unbiased reviews and publications which although are not authoritative sites are still very good franchise information resources.

2. Magazine Publications

Franchising is a niche industry and with it comes some great niche magazine publications. Although the readership is not huge you will find that they contain a wealth of franchise information on the country’s franchise industry. From top ten franchises through to exhibition dates through to individual franchise reviews. They are a great way of learning more about the industry and keeping you up to date with the latest franchise news. If you prefer your reading off line then they can be flicked through in the comfort of your own home and are a great way of getting your franchise information. To learn more about what are the best franchise publications though your best bet is to search the internet, do a few google searches for “franchise Magazines” and you should come up with the industry leaders and even be able to order them online.

3. Franchise Exhibitions

Although a niche industry, it is also a very large and profitable one. throughout the entire year you will be able to find franchise exhibitions being held up and down the country. Many of these attract thousands of people and have stand after stand of franchise opportunities selling their wares, as well as stand offering franchise financing, franchise information and everything else you can imagine. These events are great and offer a real hands on approach to gaining your franchise information. even if you cannot attend many you should at least try and attend one!

However you gain your franchise information you are certainly not going to be short of avenues, there are literally thousands of franchise websites, franchise exhibitions and franchise magazines all devoted to this highly profitable industry, my personal preference? Google is my friend! Do a few Google searches for franchise and you will be sure to come up with the most authoritative sites on the internet, full of franchise information. Google is also your best way of finding out what magazine publications are available and even what franchise exhibitions dates and locations are.

• 80,585 Facebook applications as of 2009-05-13

• Top most active applications were Living Social, Rock You Live and Movies

• Importance of an architecture of social entertainment

• Tips on application type, title, description, newsfeeds, icon, request/invitations, notification, email and spam

As of 13 May 2009, there were 80,585 applications constructed on Facebook, with hundreds being added each day. The 3 most active applications were Living Social, Rock You Live and Movies respectively. These successfully viral applications on Facebook, all bore a common hallmark, which is they were built upon an architecture of social entertainment.

An application not only creates an element of fun and gets users involved with your brand, it’s also a great driver in generating traffic to your site. Best of all, it is achieves excellent cost efficiency with the results it can produce.

Here are some tips to creating an awesome application that will hopefully plaster the walls of users who would readily adopt your application very soon!

Application Type

First and foremost, you’ll have to decide on the type of application that suits best: web or desktop depending on whether you want the user to download it or use it only on the web.

Application Title

An interesting title will stick in people’s minds when they talk about and recommend applications to their friends. Come up with one that is descriptive, memorable and sets your application apart.

Application Description

Just as important is the description of your application. Make use of convincing copy that describes the highlights of your application to entice the user to add it.

Newsfeeds

Live News Feeds literally feed updates of other users on a member’s home page, and this is an excellent way to get people to notice your application. Designing your application to publish News Feeds can vastly increase the presence of your application.

Choose only interesting and exciting events to broadcast, and not just everything. Decide on the title, body and images of your News Feed and work around with the text and image limits to produce a front page worthy feed!

Application Icon

A 16 X 16 icon size on the application menu only allows for a simple one, but that doesn’t mean it can’t be memorable. Pick an image that users can identify you by.

With a more generous 64 X 64 icon specification for the product category, you have more space to create a graphic icon that best represents your application. Remember that an inviting visual is just as important in trying to attract users!

Requests/Invitations

A fun application users enjoy will have the ability to work its own magic when users invite their friends to use your application. This is an excellent way in which your application can gain popularity. However, users cannot send more than 20 requests or invitations per day for each application.

Notifications

Notifications, sent in response to application activity, is a way in which you can maintain a relationship with your users. This is another way you can entice new users to adopt your application; use action-oriented words that will encourage a response from other users to click on your application.

However, bear in mind that spam control is in place when sending notifications sent to non-users.

Emails

You can also send simple emails to your application’s users to encourage them to use your application more. Ideally, you should send out an email update to your users every week, as well as on special events or dates.

Spam

Be careful about having spam hinder your efforts as if your application could be blocked from users if it generates spam. An excessive amount of notifications sent to non-application users would trigger the alarm and your application could face blockages and receive a warning.

After you’ve constructed your application, you will need to garner five users or more before submitting it to Facebook for approval, after which it will show up in the application listing upon approval.

A strong application concept, backed by the ability to understand and fully utilize these components can result in a phenomenal application that might just take the community by storm, like what some popular applications have achieved.

How To Earn Extra Income To Improve Your Life

May-29-2009 By AnthonySaunders

Extra cash can be the difference between struggling to survive or being able to have the things you want. Wouldn’t it be nice to pay your bills and still have extra cash at the end of the month? If you’re living paycheck to paycheck, you are in danger of a personal economic disaster. You have two things you can do to better your financial situation. The first thing you can do is decrease your debt. But that’s easier said than done. Chances are, whatever debt you have can’t be easily decreased. You can cut back on some things but the mortgage, car payments, credit cards and personal loans payments are pretty there until they’re paid off. The other thing you can do is increase your monthly income. This is a more viable option. Increasing your monthly income can greatly increase your chances of avoiding a future economic downfall.

I would like for you to think about some very serious questions. What is your current financial situation? How financially stable are you or your family? Are you living life to the fullest or just existing? These are questions you should be asking yourself everyday.

In these tough and unpredictable economic times, with layoffs occurring pretty much on a daily basis, having extra cash or a financial back up plan is crucial. We are living in a time where a majority of people are one or two paychecks from losing all they have. One or two paychecks from living on the street. Many didn’t have a financial back up plan. They spent and lived right up to limit of their means. And still today, there are millions of people without a back up plan. Millions of people that don’t have some sort of extra income coming into their household. Don’t let it be you.

What could you do with an extra $400 or $500 a month? If you are on a very tight budget, an extra $500 a month could ease the stress of paying your bills. If you are doing okay with your full-time income, then an extra $500 a month can help to make a change in lifestyle. An extra $500 a month is a new car payment, it’s extra money that can go towards taking a vacation, it’s extra money to do more activities with your spouse, it’s extra money that can help a family member or friend in need of financial help, and that’s just to name a few things and extra $500 a month could do for you. The bottom line is just an extra $500 a month can significantly change your life for the better.

If you want to ease your stress when paying bills, if you want to have extra income to buy a new car or just have extra income to be able to do more and get more out of life, then you need to take the steps necessary to find something to do that will provide the amount of extra income that you want so you can live the more fulfilling life you desire.

Anthony is helping people, just like you, earn extra cash to improve their lives. If you want to make extra cash in your spare time then keep an open mind and take a few minutes to look at the powerful, proven techniques that are explained with easy to follow, step-by-step videos. Forget about anything else you may have seen or heard of. This system is truly a one of a kind! : http://www.ExtraCashImprovesLives.com/

Online Branding – the Basics

May-29-2009 By EnzoF.

The term “brand” has been around for many years and can be used to refer to a company name, a product name, an advertising campaign or a logo. Branding is used to create an emotional attachment to a product or company. It can also create a sense of perceived higher quality or value.

In Internet marketing, branding is more than logos and theme songs. Branding lets customers know who you are, what you do and how you do it. It’s your promise of value. Effective branding will increase your potential customer base and more potential customers will always equal more sales opportunities.

In recent years, consumers have been spending more time and money on the Internet. In addition to communicating with friends, they’re comparison shopping and making more and more purchases online. It’s imperative for a business to use the Internet to make an impact.

Here are a few ways to define your online identity.

Describe Your Brand First – Start With What You Do

When they land on your website, your visitors should know immediately what your company does and how it can help them. Don’t be ambiguous and don’t try to be too cute. Build a unique shopping experience that a visitor will remember. With regard to graphics on your website, remember that images can convey more than words, and good ones can play a major part in online branding.

Find Your Target Market

The focus of a marketing campaign is people. Your goal is to reach a subset of the population who might be interested in your particular product – your target market.

The more you know about your target market, the more precisely you can develop a marketing strategy. Your branding efforts should focus on that target market. Your message should be clear and should appeal to your visitor and make them realize the benefits of visiting your website, your store and ultimately buying your products or services.

Humanize Your Website

What is your company’s personality? The online world can be a cold and daunting place. Your branding efforts can be much more effective when you add a human element to your website. Brands are like people in that a strong one has personality, expresses opinions and elicits feelings. Your website and brand could and should do the same thing.

If you are the sole owner, put your name and photo on your site to take away the mystery and distrust of a cold, impersonal website. Take a good look at your site. Does your design scheme complement your identity? You should be working toward your site having its own identity, unique language and clear personality.

Take a look at some of the sites you enjoy visiting and see what makes them special and satisfying to you. Branding is not about making your site more corporate – it’s about making it personal so that visitors want to come back.

Be Consistent

For effective branding on the web, you should be consistent in terms of your approach, your message and your language throughout your visitors’ experience. Any gateway to your customers – website, blog, newsletter, emails – should have your consistent, unique personality.

Content, Content, Content

Just as location, location, location is crucial in real estate, having great content on your site is a major factor in getting customers to return. Useful, brand-related information coupled with your unique voice will help you gain fans and ultimately loyal customers.

With good content, your website becomes “sticky”, that is, it’s able to keep visitors on the site browsing and reading longer. When the content is what people are looking for, they are not only more likely to stay longer, they’ll bookmark your site and maybe recommend it to others. They will learn that you are a reputable source of information and eventually go to your site for purchases.

Your branding goal should be to provide rich information on your site to build an expert reputation that will be recognized by both customers and search engines.

Have an Online Presence Outside of Your Site

Post regularly to online forums where people who might be interested in your brand are gathering. Use your expertise in your field to offer intelligent and useful information and include a link to your website in your signature.

With good online content, you can satisfy people’s craving for suitable information and increase your linking strategy at the same time. For example, if you have a site that sells art and painting supplies, you could write a history article on Rembrandt to be published online. This page for history or art buffs will now link potential customers from your target market to your site, and will become part of your linking strategy.

On your website, offer a free newsletter or rss feed. This will allow you to build a database of potential customers who have gone out of their way to express interest in your brand. Your newsletter will then allow you to deliver your message to an interested audience with a controlled frequency that will further build your brand.

Customers are becoming savvy and more discriminating when it comes to online interactions, and retailers need to provide a consistent, positive marketing experience. Great websites put substance before flash and that’s what branding is all about – your promise of value.

Work From Home Legitimate Jobs

May-29-2009 By MistyReese

Let’s face it, the economy is in the dumps and more and more people are laid off as the days go by. Which means more and more competition and less companies hiring. From personal experience I can tell you its hard and its even harder when your put in a position to work from home and want a legitimate job.

My long story short… I was there. Laid off! I spent many hours looking for legitimate ways to make money online. After many long nights searching for a real opportunity and much more money spent, I realized that most people want to make money off of you, rather than pay you. My next question was, how do I work from home? Are there any legitimate jobs?

To answer that… yes! The first step you want to take is stop searching for words like make money online, work from home, work online etc. There are plenty of people like me, who want to help and many more who want to sell you screen shots of millions made online. Don’t by into the hype! Don’t pull out your credit card until you feel comfortable in the program.

Another short piece of advice, many real companies that offer legitimate jobs aren’t going to post a job opening that will appear in the first few pages of your favorite search engine. Even more disheartening… if you want to telecommute chances are you will have to earn that luxury by first working in office for the company.

If telecommuting is something that will fit your needs, redefine your search with those exact words. You may also find work from home legitimate jobs by searching the term independent contractor.

You may not recieve benefits such as health insurance, life insurance and 401k as an independent contractor but you will have the opportunity to make extra cash.

As an independent contractor you may be able to exceed your expectations with hard work! Now, keep in mind that while many online companies offer real opportunities there are a lot of competition for these positions. What company doesn’t have stiff competition these days?

If you want to learn about the best way to work from home and have something more than a legitimate job, something more than the 9-5 rat race and something more than the fear of NOT making money check out how I am currently making money online.

What do I do exactly? Create blogs and write articles. It goes a little but deeper than that, but really it’s not too complicated! Trust me, if I can do it anyone can!

As I open my laptop every day and start my work from home, I have more security than most do in there 9-5’s. I have built a life, future and stability for my family. Is it your everyday legitimate job opportunity? Probably not what most are looking for… But will it exceed you expectations? I will leave that one up to you!

To find a list of work from home legitimate jobs please check out work from home legitimate jobs Want more than the normal 9-5? Want to create your own destiny? Read work online from home for free tips and tools that will help you succeed!
