Are You An Entrepreneur?

Apr-29-2009 By MatthewFranchise

What makes you an entrepreneur?; this question is simple but very difficult to answer. For a long time, people have studied the science behind entrepreneurial process, what drives a great entrepreneur, the things that make an ordinary person transforms into a job creator.

To answer this question, it’s much better if we try to understand what’s behind entrepreneurial process. At the heart of every entrepreneurial process is the founder, the opportunity seeker, the creator and initiator, the leader, problem solver, and motivator; the planner and the guardian of vision and mission. Without this human energy, behavior, drive, and vitality, the greatest ideas-even when they are backed by an overabundance of resources and people-will fail, grossly underperform, or simply never get off the ground. Brilliant athletic aptitude and potential is not equal with the great athlete. The difference is invisible and intangible: commitment, tenacity and determination.

Commitment and determination are seen as more important than any other factor that inspiring an entrepreneur. It makes an entrepreneur can overcome incredible obstacles and also compensate enormously for other weaknesses. Almost without any exception, entrepreneurs live under extreme, constant pressure (when they start their business, for them to stay alive, and for them to grow). A new business requires top priority of entrepreneur’s time, emotion, patient, and loyalty. The level of entrepreneur’s commitment can be measured in several ways: through a willingness to invest a substantial portion of his or her net worth in the venture, through a willingness to take a cut in pay because he or she will own a major piece of venture, and through the other big sacrifices in lifestyle and family circumstances. Clearly, commitment and determination usually demand personal sacrifice.

What you should keep in mind is that the desire to win never equal to the will to never give up. And this is actually a critical distinction. So many lead entrepreneurs say that they really want to win, but only few have the dogged tenacity and unflinching perseverance to make it happen. Just take an example of a young entrepreneur who made several phone call but none were returned. He made a few more calls but still, no response. Over the next week he made yet another series of calls that once again received no response. At that point, what would you do? Would you keep trying, or decide to move on and not waste any more time? Only you can answer this question, and the answer will gives a clear picture of your persistence’s level.

Entrepreneurs who successfully build new business seek to overcome hurdles, solve problems, and complete the job. They are disciplined, tenacious, and persistent. They are able to commit and recommit quickly. They love to win and love to compete at anything. However, if tasks are unsolvable, an entrepreneur will be the first person to give up than the others. There is a fair opinion says that while entrepreneurs are extremely persistent, they are also realistic in recognizing what they can and can’t. They know where they can get help to solve a very difficult but necessary task.

Are Social Bookmarking Services Worth It?

Apr-29-2009 By MatthewBredel

SEO. Video marketing. Facebook. Article marketing. What is the very best Internet marketing trick you have up your sleeve? Each one of these as well as a plethora of others can bring great results, but there is one Internet marketing technique that seems to result in high search engine page ranks with very little effort sooner than the others. Got your attention now? It’s social bookmarking.

Sure, it’s been around for almost a decade now, but social bookmarking has really only caught on in the last few years. And even now there are many Internet marketers who just aren’t sure it is worth the effort. However, the ones who ARE using it know that it is totally worth the effort.

What’s so great about social bookmarking services?

These websites attract the search engine spiders. For whatever reason, Google and other search engines love the bookmarking sites. IMers have reported that a website registered with a top social bookmarking service can receive a higher search engine ranking within days—as opposed to weeks and even months like other methods.

Furthermore, social bookmarking is easy to use. Once you decide on a few online services to try, you will see for yourself how simple it really is. The learning curve is low, which means you are not going to have to spend hours figuring this thing out. Register on a few sites and then spend a little time learning about each site’s unique features and then start submitting your sites and articles.

Not sure where to start? You may want to spend some time comparing the different services to determine which one is right for you. Here are the top ten social bookmarking sites to get you started:

• Digg.com

• Propeller.com

• StumbleUpon.com

• Reddit.com

• Del.icio.us.com

• Newsvine.com

• Fark.com

• Blinklist.com

• Clipmarks.com

• Shoutwire.com

Social Bookmarking Tips

If you are convinced social bookmarking is for you (and you should be!) signing up for one or more of the above services is obviously your first step. What comes next?

• The social aspect comes in when you submit your site to the service, and the search engine spiders begin to crawl your site. Your site is likely to then achieve a higher page rank, which will ultimately increase your site traffic.

• If your website contains desired information or something that is of interest to a particular group, you may find that your website gets rated highly within the social bookmarking service. This can result in the kind of site traffic every IMer desires—targeted traffic.

• While submitting your sites to the social bookmarking website is important, exchanging social bookmarks with others can really maximize your efforts. It multiplies the times your links are out there for others to see. Plus the more votes your bookmarked pages receive, the more traffic you are likely to entertain.

You no longer have a good reason to shy away from social bookmarking. It is a great tool to add to your IM arsenal, especially if you are looking for site traffic sooner than later. As Internet marketing becomes more and more competitive, it pays to have a variety of marketing methods, especially one that plugs you into the world of social marketing so quickly and effectively.

Buying a Franchise? Some Advantages to Purchasing

Apr-29-2009 By MatthewFranchise

There are many advantages to Franchising. When you buy into a trusted name, take on its fame and programs, you can be sure to have a business that people will recognize quicker than a start-up mom and pop-type business. In fact, it’s one of the most common business expansion tools. Not only this, but entering into Franchising is like entering into a family: there are other people there who will help you with everything from day-to-day operations of your business to buying your business’s equipment at the lowest price possible.

One of the biggest advantages of Franchising is the draw of the brand name. People recognize brand names, and because of this, the name of a business is worth quite a bit. People come to trust names they see again and again because they associate this frequency with quality and consistency. Soon, people become loyal to certain brand names. Franchising helps develop a brand name’s worth by upping the number of businesses popping up around the world.

Buying into a franchise is smart because it will make dealing with banks easier. A bank is more likely to give you money if they know you’re investing in something that has found success before. Additionally, if people know the name of the franchise, it will make it easier to attract customers to your establishment.

Another great plus to Franchising is that a person doesn’t have to market their business or learn how to do such things as accounting or distribution: The business’s model is already firmly in place. Many statistics say that as many as 90% of new businesses fail in the first few years because it’s hard to get the business generating funds while learning the ropes of what works and what doesn’t work. A franchise’s model is proven - it’s why people what to buy into the business - and it makes it easier to keep your business afloat. Once you’re in charge of a franchise, you’ll have a manual that explains the business’s ins and outs and will make day-to-day operations easy as pie.

When it comes to a franchise, it’s easier to buy your equipment and materials because people know the name. The other folk involved in the franchise system will be a great support system when it comes to buying materials. Additionally, one of the biggest advantages of Franchising is that you don’t have to spend as much on marketing and publicity: the more franchises there are, the more publicity you’ll receive. The sheer number of businesses helps establish a brand’s credibility.

Ultimately, there’s less risk involved with opening a franchise, and this is perhaps Franchising greatest advantage. Though the cost may be high to buy into a well-respected name, the possible rewards are much higher. As always you need to ensure your research is done in a manner which means you have all the facts in place, doing your due diligence will ensure that not only the franchise is right for you but that it is one that is going to be value for money too.

Franchises - The Right Option Available?

Apr-29-2009 By MatthewFranchise

Every once in a while, every individual with any ‘get up and go’ decides that it might be time to get up and go – and leave whatever they feel is holding them back in life. A mundane job; the thought that you’re feathering someone else’s nest with your labour; or just the desire to be your own boss can all be strong motivators to consider starting your own business.

Franchising cuts out all of the ‘rock breaking’ involved in making the giant step from employment to being your own boss. Without the support of tried and trusted systems, backed up by the knowhow of many years of honing any successful franchise business model, any individual starting on their own not only has to face the hollow uncertainty and loneliness of going it alone but also the exceedingly steep learning curve of actually running a business, instead of being employed within one.

Companions

Apart from the phenomenal success rate of franchise businesses compared with normal start-ups, being part of much larger team of franchisees as well as the franchisor themselves, means that you’re never left on your own wondering what to do next. You’ll have a constant resource available to discuss issues and opportunities with so that you can concentrate on generating a healthy business rather than agonising over matters that you can’t discuss with anyone.

Four questions to ask yourself

Before you ever consider what business you want to be in you should ask yourself four questions. 1) What is the strongest marketplace I could work within? How sustainable is the marketplace – is it affected by the strength of the economy and disposable income? Could I carve myself a niche within it? Could I be profitable within it? If you can’t reassure yourself that the answers are all positive then you should never consider the next question – Do I want to do this?

Far too often businesses are started by people who’ve ‘always fancied doing this’ or think that ‘this would be a good business for me to be in’, both cardinal sins and with the odds heavily stacked against them if they haven’t addressed the first four questions at the outset and asked themselves if they’re really committed to being their own boss.

Once you’ve done your homework and assured yourself that the franchisor offers comprehensive training, a good business model, a good infrastructure and ongoing support in whatever your chosen role is, only then should you consider making the leap of faith that will launch you on your new career. You can never do enough research, both of your chosen marketplace and of the franchisor – you are after all entering the business equivalent of a marriage and if you’re not going to mirror current divorce statistics then you should do your groundwork well beforehand.

If you’ve planned well, selected a franchise in your chosen marketplace that suits you (are you after a management style franchise such as Prokill or a ‘one man and van’ franchise?), checked that the franchisor is either an Associate or Full member of the British Franchise Association – the regulating and accreditation body – and done your homework, then provided that you commit wholeheartedly to your new business, you’ll succeed.

Where Do You Get Franchise Information?

Apr-29-2009 By MatthewFranchise

The more I look into the Franchise Industry, the more it is apparent that most Information is geared around selling franchises. The Business Franchise is exactly that - big business.

If you do a search on Google on ‘franchise’ or ‘franchise information’ then you are likely to be presented with thousands of pages of franchise advertisers, franchise consultants, franchise marketplace websites and possible a franchise association.

I have been seriously researching the industry for a number of years now and the number of good information sources I have found are few and far between. There are a number of good books on Franchising on amazon and I strongly suggest that if you are seriously examining buying a franchise then you read as many as you can. You can never do enough research.

I have just come off the back of two days solid of research on google on franchises and I have yet to find any information sites that are not in some way ’sponsored’ or funded by franchises or consultants.

Why is this? Do you know any?

The franchise Industry is big business and the opportunities to get impartial, informative advice and information are few and far between.

If you are considering buying a franchise then the biggest piece of advice I can offer is to consider the motivation of any article, web site and ‘guru’ that you come across. Do your due diligence and ask what their motivation is for providing that information.

To begin that process, let me give my honest answer:

I am writing a blog to give impartial advice from some one who has been a franchisee. I have seen the good and the bad of the franchise industry and have lost a lot of money.

I have spent the last three years, and more, fully researching the franchise industry and have been struck by the lack of impartial advice and information. I have a small vested interest as I am writing a manual on my experiences and how you can avoid them and will be launching it soon. Apart from that, however, I have no other interest in providing you information other than making sure you make the right decision for the rest of your future.

Learning about the franchise industry from honest people can give you every chance of success when researching and buying a franchise. Using the Internet to it’s full potential as a tool for your research is a must and at the end of the day with the right knowledge in hand you can come away with a fantastic business for life which can support your and your family in the way that you want to live. Without doing the proper research it is likely you will buy into the wrong type of franchise for you or one which may well collapse in the near future, leaving a gaping hole in your pocket and with little no no resources left to set up fresh.

To your future business success.

Is internet marketing really about the numbers or is it about people? In reality it is about both. Many internet marketers though get so caught up in the numbers that they forget the people aspect. If you come right down to it though, internet marketing is about making sales. If there are no people, there are no sales! Those numbers ARE people, and it pays to keep that in mind.

Once we get going in internet marketing those numbers really start to matter. Our first big number we come across of course is number of sales, and that number one always feels so sweet (send out a kind thought to the person who was number one).

From then on our world seems full of numbers: numbers of keywords, numbers of ad campaigns, ctr percentages, number of landing pages, number of visitors, number of e-mails sent, and on and on it goes, not forgetting of course everyone’s favorite - dollars in profit. Yes, we spend a good deal of our internet marketing time in number tracking.

What people really mean by a numbers game is that the more traffic you get to your site or product the more sales you are going to make. Very simple, very straightforward, and that is what we build our internet marketing business around, whatever the methods we use to drive that traffic. When it comes to getting traffic though, that is where we need to start thinking about people.

Good sales copy writers know people; they know how to push their buttons. Sales copy stems in turn from years of research in psychology, (usually not personal research from the writers though), to find out just what people do respond to. Are we conning these people?

That depends how you want to look at it, and some would say yes, we are deliberately, if only temporarily, brain-washing them, but then that is what sales and advertising are all about. For those who have trouble with this simple fact it is probably important to feel you are at least selling a product that you believe really does have a benefit for the buyer - let your conscience be your guide.

Understanding people though becomes particularly important when using e-mails and social marketing. Here you are dealing more directly with individuals and I suggest, (without preaching), that for your own credibility you treat them as such.

It just comes down to the old golden rule of “Treat others as you would like to be treated”.(Pin that up where you can see it - next to your internet marketing “My goal” post is a good place).

If you go charging into people’s threads on forums, groups and blogs waving your little sales banner around you are not going to win any popularity polls - have a little respect and appreciate what their forum, group or blog is really for, believe it or not it’s not for you to make a sale.

I sincerely believe that if you remember the people first, and treat them well, the numbers you want so much will follow and your internet marketing business will thrive.

If you’re like me you’ve been searching and searching for an internet Millionaire to spill the beans on how he became successful. Wouldn’t it be great if you could sit down one on one with an internet Millionaire and he could tell you why you’re failing or not reaching your targets, and how you too, can become like him/her. Well for many of us we will never meet that Millionaire or be lucky enough to have someone coaching the exact methods they use. So, what should we do? Should we walk around the internet Blindly spending money here, advertising there, wasting money, getting frustrated with the little return on the amount of work we put in, then when it gets to the end of the week we look at our PPC accounts and find that we’ve spent 10 times the amount of money on advertising then we actually made? Well? I certainly was one of those people who walked around blindly getting advise off some random Internet Guru who I’d never heard of, and i would implement their strategy, and, well, guess what? I was back to square one, frustrated at how much money had fallen out of my pocket.

The problem with most internet Gurus is that they never tell you the whole story, or they never give you their secret or Blueprint as such. There’s always something crucial they leave out like, what product exactly should i advertise where should i sell it, what should be the target audience, what keywords should i use, and usually its these small things among others that we don’t know, that make us continually fail.

So whats the solution you ask? Where can i find these millionaires and steal their Blue Prints, well the truth is you have all the information you need right here, and i have summarized the 7 Proven methods Below:

1. Domain Names-

Always be willing to pay that little bit extra to buy a unique domain name. Many Affiliates lose out on making thousands of dollars just because their domain name has an ugly look to it, with numbers or digits on the end.

2. Concentrate on 3 methods of marketing-

Many people think that the more advertising the better, but its proven that implementing 3 methods of advertising on a daily basis will increase your number of sales.

3. Be Passionate about the product your selling or believe in the product-

Affiliates usually advertise products they have no idea or any interest in. Its helpful advertising a product you believe or understand, remember, your the one trying to convince them to buy, how can you expect them to buy if you wouldn’t make the purchase yourself?

4. Take advantage of free advertising-

To many affiliates concentrate on their PPC Ad campaigns when you can advertise your product for free on websites like Ezine Articles and many others. You can get thousands of free clicks every day just by writing articles.

5. Use Classified ads

Sometimes its worth going back to the old ways of advertising because the truth is, not everyone is using search engines to look for their desired product, many people turn to magazines and Newspapers or the Local phone directory.

6. Promote to the Public

You can make many sales just by taking advantage of websites like Vista Print which give you 250 Business cards for free. Take these cards to companies around your area and ask to leave them on their front desk for people to take as they please.

7. Promote to your Friends

Send emails to your friends about the great product you have found, or use Facebook or Myspace to contact people. Make sure you don’t just advertise the product to them, but actually be personal with them, otherwise they’ll just think someones just sending spam and they won’t even read it.

So there you have it. That is a brief summary of how you can become a Super Affiliate, but there is one more thing that needs to be said. Take action NOW, don’t be a sheep and follow the same attitudes of everyone else, you can make money online, be unique and be courageous take the steps that need to be taken for you to succeed and live a happy Life.

The need to make a lot of money helps to motivate many of us into starting a home based business. Not having to be a faceless person that is part of the grind of the daily rat race is another reason why it might pay to become a home entrepreneur. Before getting into the habit of making a living out of your home business venture it is of course necessary that you learn just what does it take to succeed in such a venture. Therefore, before starting a home based business you need to strategize in a way that ensures that you have a realistic chance of achieving your goal.

Don’t Fail To Plan Ahead

Most businesses, home based and otherwise, generally fail because the entrepreneurs failed to plan their activities in advance and so it is necessary that you learn how not to repeat those mistakes when starting a home based business. You need to understand how you too can succeed with your home business and the first question that you need a good answer to is ‘just why you want to start a home based business’.

Unless you know the reason behind why you should be starting a home based business you will not be able to build a strong foundation for the future and so you need to answer a few more questions to get things clarified. For example, are you starting a home based business to work the hours that suit you the best; or, is it to be your own boss and if so, why? Furthermore, is the home business your passport to increased earnings and finally, just how well prepared are you to start the business.

The most important issue that requires a solid answer before starting a home based business is how well prepared are you for your new business venture. This of course means that you must already be confident in your abilities to face and overcome the many challenges that you will need to face including having to handle multiple tasks at the same time. That in turn means being prepared to put up with the stresses and strains of starting a home based business; so, you must be in good physical and mental shape.

Next, you have to be sure that you are indeed well prepared and determined to put in as many hours as are required in order to succeed in your home business. What’s more, you should also have some outside support including from family members and from friends and you also need to be prepared to make sacrifices including accepting a lower standard of living till such time as your home business takes off and flourishes.

To succeed in your home business you need to possess experience as well as have the necessary skills and these are important issues that you need to address before starting a home based business. That in turn means ensuring that you already have the experience in your chosen business field and you also need to be a person that can take correct and effective decisions and in double quick time as well. You have to learn to absorb new things so that you can improve your existing skills and also learn new ones as you go along.

Before starting a home based business you must also be aware about your exact financial position so that before you get your home business going your pockets are stuffer with enough money to become a home business person. In addition, it is also necessary to have sufficient cash to operate your home business.

As long as you address these issues properly and earnestly starting a home based business can prove to be a fun experience and one that will help you get off on the right foot and then achieve your goals.

This Is The Business Guide That Will Give You Results With Just One Hour A Day

It is a short to the point, 10-page guide. It will give you everything you need to the programs that are outlined in the explanation below. It will also explain step by step to you how to separate a “Mediocre Opportunity” from a “Amazing Opportunity” so you will be sure you are joining an amazing opportunity.

There are probably a lot of OK business ideas and opportunities out there in today’s market. But what turns an OK opportunity into a truly off the charts amazing opportunity? When you’re debating about joining a new business, there are three important things you need to put on the table. I will teach you what those three things are once you get my guide.

It is a Free Guide by the way.

You are probably wondering when is the sales pitch and how much is this going to cost me? Well, I don’t have anything to sell you at all. As you continue to read about the system below you will find out that there is one program that we work with that will in the future eventually cost you a fee to if and only if you deiced to stay in the program. You will not need to pay this fee until after you have proven to yourself that you will be able to make enough money to pay that fee. There really are No up front expenses.

The basic program…

I have found many online businesses that all work as one to produce a quick and easy working method. I show you in detail step by step how to find the people that are looking for this precise system and you will not have to personally present this system to any of them, I do that for you.

One of the businesses is free to join and you will be paid $5 as soon as your referrals reach a certain threshold. Your referrals also join for free.

Almost all of the businesses will offer you the venue for your free marketing. I will give you easy instructions for you to set up the only part that I can’t do for you. I have amazing advertisements that have been tested and will work for you to use, so you don’t have to figure out how to do that’ or what to say in a marketing ad, just follow the instructions I lay out for you.

The main business, the core of the system, is free to join for your first thirty days. After that it will cost you $18.00 each month to continue in the program. This business has an awesome affiliate program that goes 10 levels down. You will be able to determine for yourself that this program works and truly see the results before you pay to upgrade.

If you follow the system and put in about one hour of time into it each any every day, you will get way more than 3 people signing up long before the month passes.

This business will return an amazing income for anyone who puts a small amount of effort into advertising it. Not overnight though. This is not a ‘get rich quick’ program. It does yield a fixed, growing income. How fast it grows depends on how much time and effort you put into it. One hour a day gets you good results. If you have more time to put in, your business will increase faster.

How to advertise is the problem that some people run into. That is where my program comes in. You don’t have to try to figure anything out. I wrote the main website, all the cool splash pages and program that will advertise the system for you. You promote your splash pages and the system will do the rest.

I hope you are seeing the enormous, money making business you have sitting in front of you right now, click on the link to read even more about this amazing system. http://www.MyInstantBizNow.com

Having a small budget when it comes to a business can be something of a worry to anyone, because it limits what you can do. When you are talking about entering the market or exciting the world with your new product, there actually many ways you can go about doing so without actually putting down hundreds of thousands of dollars from the get go. This article will explain to you how to get things going from even the smallest of budgets and get some exposure that is sometimes comparable to hiring a big ad agency machine to back up your campaign. First and foremost, and most predictable, is to get online. If you cannot afford to open up a shop, then you need to open up an online shop.

This is called a website and it is the pivot point in which you spread the news about your product or idea. While web site design is pretty easy to do, you need to understand that there is a difference between a pretty website and a selling website. A selling website is one that is able to guide the visitor all the way to the page where they have to make a purchasing decision and this is the tricky part. It is all down to how you word your pitch, how you layout your website and how you design your product and benefits.

There are many gimmicks and techniques that you can use and all you need to do really is to learn about them. Once you can do that, then you have the web site that is capable of selling your products. Next, you need to do your marketing and when talking about the internet, there are two types of marketing. One of them is direct marketing, where you contact customers through a list directly and try and sell them the goods. This is long and tedious and the other way is affiliate your product and allow others to sell it for you, at a price of course. But with affiliate marketing, you do not need to do much.

All you need to do is to sit back and let them sell your product. Sure, you will make much less than what you would if you sold the thing yourself, but you are now making from several different sources. There is a catch to this and that is your product must be good enough to sell itself. One of the things about affiliate marketing is that most affiliate marketers will not take up the job if they feel that the product is not sellable enough or if the market segment is too hard to reach. The last thing you can consider when starting your own business with a small budget is too maybe perhaps get yourself a virtual office, which would eliminate thousands of dollars a month from your entire business campaign. This way, you will be able to enjoy all the benefits of an office while paying for something that is a fraction of the cost.

Cut your business rental costs and use a Singapore Virtual Office instead. Sign up today at this shared office space or compare virtual office space plans.

Many business of all sizes experiment with various different types of weird and wonderful advertising stunts rather than adopting an old fashioned, straight forward approach such as brochures or mailing catalogues and flyers.

Since the inception of the world wide web in the 90’s there has been an explosive growth in the area of internet marketing. This growth can be attributed to the fact that the internet gives businesses the potential to reach many more prospective customers than could be accomplished through traditional means of advertising for a lot less money. Sounds irresistible, doesn’t it?

However many businesses are unaware of the regulations contained within the new “Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008”. These consumer protection regulations have an impact on what is called “buzz marketing” and also marketing via social networking web sites such as Facebook and MySpace.

A reputable intellectual property law solicitor should be able to advise you on all the rules and regulations in this area and make sure your business is not falling foul of them.

The regulations introduce a new criminal offence which is described as:

Falsely claiming or creating the impression that the trader is not acting for purposes relating to his trade, business, craft or profession or falsely representing oneself as a consumer” (sched 1 para 22).

This has huge, wide reaching implications for the advertising and internet marketing industry as some cutting edge advertising methods work on the basis that individuals online are engaged to recommend a product to their friends or a group of individuals or to even go to the lengths of sitting in a bar, restaurant or other public place and talk loudly about the virtues of a particular product or service.

These new regulations have wide ranging implications for the blogging community as planting a comment in a blog without making clear that the message has been placed by or on behalf of the business could be a criminal offence.

Sites that rank highly in search engines such as Google, Yahoo or MSN are usually in an elevated position because many other websites link to them. A link is a clickable piece of text that takes web browsers from the site they are on to another website. Internet marketers promoting a business can build links to their client by leaving comments on blogs that link back to their client’s site. If they do this without making it clear that they are working on behalf of another business they could be in serious trouble.

In addition, anyone seeding viral advertisements online in a way that implies they are just a member of the public could also infringe that prohibition. Another area where businesses often fall foul of the law is where they use photographs in brochures, on websites and online without permission from the copyright owner.

It always pays to check difficult legal issues with lawyers before an expensive marketing campaign is launched and also to ensure there are written contracts with advertising agencies which makes clear whether the agency or customer are responsible for legal compliance.

Throughout my life I’ve been a rookie. I’ve been a rookie high school student, football player, college student and a rookie at marriage. Each time there was an uncanny excitement about all of the new things that I expected to learn. It seems that there is always someone there to give me advice about how to navigate the ropes. I’ve found that keeping an open mind to new opportunities has been a key to my success.

So now I find myself once again a rookie at social networking. What a fun journey it has already been. I have found people on social networks who are jumping in to help someone who is new. It appears that thousands of people are joining these networks everyday. I admire all of the people who are sharing their wisdom to save people time, money and energy. The social networks are full of articles, blogs, business information, individual profiles and areas of special interest.

I have received immediate responses to questions that I have been pondering for months. The social networks give you an opportunity to explore what others around the world are doing and to reconnect with friends from high school and college. This week I reconnected with students that I’ve taught over the last twenty-five years on Facebook.com. I have been so inspired that I started my own education social network at myedunetwork.com.

I have my own business and joining Sta.rtup.biz.com has been an invaluable resource. When you are a rookie you look for every opportunity to get out on the field to play. Therefore, I recently started my own radio social network at blogtalkradio.com. It appears that people are looking for an opportunity to here from experts any time of the day. People who are in your network also get special information directly because they are your members. If you are looking for exciting news and hear what your peers are thinking than you cannot continue to wait on the sideline.

You have the flexibility to determine who you want to participate as a member of your social network web page. People all over the world will express a desire to communicate with individuals in the social network. Sometimes people offer the right encouragement at the moment that you need it. I have noticed an overwhelming amount of words of congratulations that are passed from individual to individual.

I recommend that you choose a social network that meets your specific needs. There are social networks for individuals who are interested in reconnecting, business, marketing, and personal videos. People are involved in social networks because they have decided that it will provide answers to a particular challenge they are facing. For example networks like linkedin.com offer a personal and business networking opportunity. I have asked questions and received an immediate response.

I’m a rookie all over again and I’m enjoying the ride. Since I am a rookie I expect to learn something new every day. Just like exercising to become fit you must participate in your social networking sites every day to establish your footing. There is a bottomless amount of information to comprehend. The social networks have inspired the next internet revolution. Get on board the social network train and enjoy the ride.

For twenty-six years, Dr. Jones has delivered presentations on numerous topics including how to study, leadership, effective communication, and innovative management practices. I am the author of three books one is titled

Can you remember the first boy that you fell in love with? Close your eyes and think about him, for just a minute. What was his name? How old were you? Where were you when you first looked into each other’s eyes and held each other’s hand? Remember how it felt to be with him. When you were together, time stood still. Even when you were amongst a group of friends, you felt special because he was there. The very thought of him was exhilarating. You felt alive.

What a wonderful feeling! I’ll never forget the first boy I fell in love with. It was the summer that I turned thirteen. I was coasting along on my skateboard with my friend close by on hers. That’s when I saw him. He was on his bicycle when our paths literally crossed. I don’t know what made us all stop, but we did. It turned out that David didn’t live very far away and he soon developed the habit of cycling down my street, hoping to find me hanging outside my house or skateboarding around our neighbourhood. David was turning sixteen at the end of that summer. It didn’t bother me that he was more mature than any boy I ever liked. I was more concerned with how my older brother would handle it, since they were the same age.

Throughout that summer, David and I spent many days together. We talked for hours. He was different from most boys I knew. He was confident and knew how to handle himself around a girl. What stands out most in my mind was the way he made me feel when put he arms around me. I remember that feeling as if it happened yesterday. I was so young and yet, so very much in love. Although David might have been the first boy I ever loved, he was not the first man.

Think back to the first man that you fell in love with. Remember the first time he held you in his big, strong arms? His kisses were so tender and his touch was so gentle. The warmth of his body against yours was very comforting. Sleep came easier when you felt so secure, so loved. Can you remember? It was so long ago . . . .

Let me help you here…you can’t possibly remember how you felt because — you were just a baby. The first man you loved was none other than your father. Imagine yourself as an infant. You came into this world needing warmth, nutrition and human contact. Unless your father was absent the moment before you exited the womb, his arms were the first male arms that were wrapped around your little body. This was your first tactile experience with the opposite sex and though you were just an infant, the bond between you and your father began to develop.

According the theory of attachment, studied extensively by Konrad Lorenz, bonding is a natural and biological certainty. We know for sure that baby ducks, baby monkeys and human babies are all genetically programmed for bonding immediately following their birth and within the first few days of their life. And their nurturers (mothers, fathers, caregivers) become attached to theses babies, as well.

Unfortunately, not all babies are given the same opportunity to become attached to their fathers, simply because they were physically absent. Born into the world, never bonding with your father may feel as if there is a void in your life and you’ve been trying to fill it ever since.

For a young girl, can the absence of her biological father subconsciously drive her to find that missing link in other men? When her innate need to bond with him is unmet, can she still develop healthy relationships? Wouldn’t the powerful love from her mother be enough? Daunting questions which no one knows the answers to for sure.

Yet, the evidence supported by the research and real life stories in the 1st edition of “Father Effects: How Your Father Influenced Who You Are and Who You Love,” indicates that without a father’s presence in these early years, young girls feel abandoned, hurt and rejected. As a result, their self esteem is low, their self-worth is doubtful and their relationship choices are all connected to finding men just like their father or extremely opposite.

Even with the strongest mother figure(s) there seems to be a deep longing for the love of a man, a father figure that they never had as a young child. Further examination reveals that when the presence of a father is a negative one, it is highly likely for a young woman to seek “love” in the arms of a man, whether he is good for her or not.

The father daughter experience tells us that the desire to be loved by our dads is a deep, emotional need that is rooted in our biological and psychological make up. We feel connected to our fathers because they co-created us. Shouldn’t they love us and want to be a part of our life just because of that? And if they don’t, if they hurt us or leave us, doesn’t it make sense that we personalize it? I know that I felt unloved and insecure when my father left. It took me years to realize that it wasn’t about me.

For many women, their father’s love was their first love. For others, it was their first disappointment. If your father was unable or unwilling to provide you with unconditional love, even if he was abusive, all is not lost. You need not feel that your low self esteem will never improve and you will never attract a loving partner because of your father’s inadequate parenting skills, poor judgement and hurtful acts. You have the power to separate your self from that experience and believe that you deserve to be loved.

Your happiness and the success of your relationships depend solely upon one element; You - You and the power of your mind; You and the inner strength that you possess to rise above your darkest moments and saddest heartaches.

From this day onward, turn that need for your father’s love and approval inward and nurture your Self. Focus on your positive qualities. Embrace your loving heart. Let go of the past, you’ve been burdened, saddened and affected long enough. And once you’re in this process of self healing and self loving, extend those feelings outward to those who would greatly appreciate it: your children, your friends and even your favourite charity

By linking the images, you will be able to track the results of those links. Talapia is often a farm-raised fish that is related to the carp. It grows best in water temperatures that exceed 82 degrees (F). For consumer purposes Talapia is generally fed a vegetarian diet high in corn products. Because Talapia is so prolific the fish can be sold cheaply. Consumers who want a healthier food choice will view this fish as a solid alternative. The warning is that this fish is low in Omega 3 fatty acids and high in Omega 6. Health professionals view this as potentially problematic. High levels of Omega 6 can be a source of difficulty for those with heart problems. High levels of Omega 6 can also cause inflammation.

There are a wide variety of pharmaceuticals that are introduced and later pulled from the market or made to carry rather lengthy disclaimers that list side effects – some include death.

This is an article about online marketing so let’s try to put some marketing perspective on the above two scenarios.

Almost every product has a downside. You won’t find many business websites that will concentrate on the real or perceived negatives related to the product being sold. They will bullet point the positives. They will feature testimonials from those who had a positive experience using the product.

If you can’t or won’t point out the positives in your online business then you are essentially pointing your potential customers to the back button. You will need to focus on the quality of the product, the aspects of personal convenience and positive cost comparisons to reach out to customers.

I am not advocating in any way the idea of falsifying information. I am encouraging you to accentuate the positive.

For instance the growth of Talapia sales is expected to nearly double within a year in American fish farms. Why? Perhaps it is because the economy has consumers thinking of ways to find healthy food choices on a diminished personal budget. In the mind of the consumer a tasty fish fillet that is inexpensive and filled with protein provides the value they are looking for.

Consumers will also opt for medications that will treat their symptoms. They may not even consider (or ask) what complications could arise from taking the medication. Sometimes this is a risk versus reward mentality where the benefits are seen to exceed the potential side effects.

As a business owner you have the obligation to let your customers see every positive side to your product. If you need to provide a disclaimer it should be a secondary page accessed by a link. I mention this because there may be a legitimate need to provide a disclaimer related to your product, but you may have choices in how that information is presented to potential customers. This is much like the terms and conditions page you will find on many sites. It doesn’t really stare you in the face, but it’s there for any who wish to take the time to read.

Hopefully you see your online business as a way to meet a real or perceived consumer need. You will do the best with your product or service when you concentrate on what your offering actually provides the consumer.
